The
Wellness Coalition
is the parent organization of The Wellspring Center. It's mission is to
support and develop the vitality of the people of southwestern New Mexico and the
community organizations that serve them.
Founded in 2003, The Wellness Coalition is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization
based in Silver City, New Mexico. It serves Catron, Grant, Hidalgo
and Luna counties. The Wellness Coalition does not provide direct health or
human services, but supports service providers in the region by subcontracting
with them or building partnerships.
The Wellness Coalition has three main program areas:
- Health Care Systems Support (Rural Health Network
Development, Drug Free Communities Support, Tobacco Use and Prevention
Control)
- Nonprofit Capacity
Building (The Wellspring
Center, Freeport-McMoRan/Grant County Health Council Community
Enhancement Fund)
- Positive Youth Development (Americorps, Youth
Conservation Corps, Legacy Foundation, NM Forum for Youth and Community)
