Technical Assistance
Technical Assistance, or mentoring, is a natural complement to our workshops and classes. Through the Compassion Capital Fund, we will be offering free Technical Assistance (TA) beginning in January of 2010. To those who qualify, we will connect members to our local network of Technical Assistance consultants for further, more individualized work. Our assessments are based on four critical areas of nonprofit capacity building:
  • Leadership development: improving the function of boards, staff and volunteers
  • Organizational development: improving organizational systems, policies and procedures, and obtaining nonprofit status
  • Program Development: developing curricula, monitoring program process, evaluating program impact
  • Community Engagement: assessing community needs, encouraging collaboration, creating websites and brochures, making public presentations

Clients will receive a TA assessment from our staff, who will in turn match them to the TA consultant(s) that best meet their needs.
